With a Soft Voice
With timidity, I believe it is time to buy US stocks again. Even if it is not the absolute bottom, the discounts are very hard to resist.

Obama Takes Office, Unleashes $500 Billion in Stimulus
(Is it stimulus or stimulant? As in happy drugs.)
Don't be surprised if that headline turns out to be true. With an agreeable Congress by his side, the new President has vowed to turn the economic ship around. Unfortunately, the only way to truly do that is to inject more money into the economy. $700 billion was an overwhelming, shocking number. (Remember that the Iraqi war across 5 years or so "only" cost $600 billion.) It turned out that it was too little.
After all the dust settles, if I wonder if we will have spent $2 trillion to bail out all the big boys--bad mortgages, AIG, Lehman Brothers, etc.
And then the baby boomers retire.
